In short
To download a TikTok video without the watermark, copy the video's link from Share, paste it above and press Download. TikTok adds its logo and the username only to the copy made by its own Save video button. We fetch the version TikTok plays in the app, which has no overlay, and save it as an MP4.

Good to know
Where TikTok's watermark actually comes from
A TikTok video is not stored with the bouncing logo and username on it. TikTok keeps a clean playback copy, which is what streams in the app, and adds the overlay only when someone uses the in-app Save video button. That saved copy is a separate file made for sharing, branded so it leads back to TikTok.
So a downloader does not "remove" the watermark. Nothing is painted over or blurred. It fetches the clean playback copy instead of the branded one. The two copies are separate files at separate addresses, and we skip the branded one whenever a clean version exists.
Two things this cannot do. Anything the creator put into the picture, such as a caption, a sticker or their own logo, is part of the video itself and stays. And if a creator has turned off downloads, TikTok's own button will not offer a copy, but the public playback copy is still what plays for every viewer. Respect the creator's wishes about reuse either way.
What people use it for
Back up your own videos
Keep a clean copy of everything you posted, without TikTok's overlay on your own work.
Repost your content elsewhere
Creators move their own clips to Reels or Shorts. Some platforms are reported to rank clips carrying another app's watermark lower.
Save a recipe or a tutorial
Keep a how-to video you will want again, playable without the app or a connection.
Keep a sound
Use the MP3 option to keep the audio of a clip you made, for editing or for reference.
Key facts
| Works with | Public TikTok videos: tiktok.com links and the short vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com links from the app |
|---|---|
| You get | MP4 without TikTok's logo and username overlay, or MP3 of the video's sound |
| Qualities | What TikTok stores for that video, often 540p to 1080p |
| Watermark | TikTok's overlay is never added. Text or logos the creator put into the video stay, because they are part of the picture |
| Not possible | Private accounts, Friends-only videos, LIVE streams, and photo slideshows (not yet supported) |
| Region blocks | Some videos are blocked in some countries, and we cannot fetch those from our server's location |
| Price | Free. No account, no app, no browser extension |
If it does not work
- "This post is blocked in the region our server is in"
- TikTok limits some videos to certain countries. Our server cannot see them, so we cannot fetch them. Nothing on your side will change this.
- "This post is private or needs a login"
- The account is private, or the video is shared with friends only. Only public videos can be downloaded.
- The video still has text or a logo on it
- That was added by the creator and is part of the picture. We remove only TikTok's own overlay, by fetching the copy that never had it.
- A slideshow of photos will not download
- Photo slideshows are not supported yet. It is on our list.
- "The platform took too long to answer"
- TikTok sometimes slows down automated requests. Wait a minute and try again.
Ways to save a TikTok video, compared
| Method | TikTok overlay | Quality | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| This tool | None | The stored playback copy | Public videos only |
| TikTok's Save video button | Logo and username added | Re-encoded copy for sharing | Missing when the creator turns downloads off |
| Screen recording | Whatever is on screen, including the app's buttons | Your screen's resolution, encoded twice | Needs cropping; can record notifications |
| Downloader apps (APK) | Varies | Varies | Installing an APK from outside the app store is a security risk |
Questions people ask
How do I download a TikTok video without the watermark?
Paste the video's link above and choose an MP4 size. You get TikTok's clean playback copy, which never had the logo or username added.
Is the quality lower than the original?
No. We fetch the copy TikTok stores and streams, and do not re-encode it. The quality list shows the sizes TikTok keeps for that video.
Can I download TikTok videos as MP3?
Yes. Choose Audio only (MP3) and we save the sound of that video. Music in a TikTok is usually someone else's copyright, so it is for personal listening, not reuse.
Does it work with vm.tiktok.com links?
Yes. Short links from the app's Share button work as they are. We follow them to the video.
Can I download from a private TikTok account?
No. We only fetch videos that anyone can watch without logging in.
Will the creator know I downloaded their video?
TikTok does not notify creators about downloads made outside its app. If you plan to reuse a video, ask the creator. That is the right thing to do, and it is usually what the licence requires.
Can I download TikTok photo slideshows?
Not yet. Slideshows are image sets with a sound, and support for them is planned.
Does it work on Android and iPhone?
Yes, in any modern browser. On iPhone the file lands in Files, then Downloads. Open it there and tap Share, then Save Video to move it into Photos.
Is downloading TikTok videos allowed?
Keeping a public video for personal viewing is common, but the creator owns it. Reposting someone else's video needs their permission. This is general information, not legal advice.
