Raptor Downloader keeps itself up to date. Here is what happens and what you might see.

Sites change how they deliver videos often, so the app changes often too. You never need to download it again.

Each time the app opens, it checks raptordownloader.com for a newer version.
If there is one, you see Updating Raptor Downloader with a progress bar.
The new version is checked (its fingerprint must match the one we published), installed, and the app reopens by itself. On Windows this takes about half a minute.

A version too old to run

If a version is no longer supported and the update could not finish (for example the connection dropped), the app says Please update Raptor Downloader and offers Get the new version. Install the new version over the old one; your settings and files stay.
