Using the app
Paste a link and press Get
A video, a channel, a playlist or a post. Paste fills in the link you copied.
Choose what to save
Video (with a quality: Best, 4K, 1080p, 720p…), MP3, Words (the transcript as text) or Subtitles. For a single video you see its picture, length and an estimated size.
Download
For one video, press Download. For a channel or playlist, tick the videos you want (or All), use the search box to find titles, and press Download selected. Load more lists the next videos; Newest and Most viewed change the order.
Find your files
The Downloads panel on the right shows progress. Show opens the folder. Videos you already downloaded are marked Downloaded in lists.
Settings
The gear at the top right:
- Save downloads in: by default
Downloads\Raptor Downloader. Change picks another folder; it is remembered. - Videos per channel at a time: how many a channel lists before you press Load more.
- Language for words and subtitles.
- Show thumbnails: turn off for a plainer, faster list.
Good to know
- It needs the internet. When it opens, it checks raptordownloader.com. With no connection you see No internet connection and a Try again button.
- It updates itself. When there is a new version, the app downloads it, checks it and installs it when it opens, then reopens. Nothing to do. See Updates.
- Private. The download engine inside the app only listens to your own computer. Your links and files never go to our server.
- Closing while downloading asks first, so a download is never cut off by accident.
