We ask Twitch for the channel's clips from all time, most viewed first. The first 50 appear in a few seconds, and Load more fetches the next 50.

Switch the period to 30 days, 7 days or 24 hours to reach recent clips. Press Newest to sort the period by date; that reads the whole period first, so a busy channel takes about half a minute.

Good to know
"All time" is not every clip: Twitch lists the top 1,000
Twitch never hands out a channel's clips as one complete list. It answers one question at a time: which clips were made in this period, most viewed first. There are four periods, the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days and all time, and each list ends at about 1,000 clips. When we read summit1g's clips on 5 October 2026, the all-time list stopped at 1,019. The least-viewed clip on it still had 6,075 views. Older clips with fewer views were not on any list Twitch would give.
The shorter periods are how you reach the rest. The same channel's 7-day list held 729 clips and went all the way down to clips with 1 view, so it was complete for that week. The 30-day list held 1,008 and reached clips with 3 views. So for a busy channel, all time gives you its greatest hits, and 30 days or 7 days gives you nearly everything recent. A small channel never hits the limit: vanillatv had 3 clips in total, and all time showed all 3.
The common command-line advice leaves a trap here. yt-dlp reads a link like twitch.tv/name/clips as the top clips of the last 7 days unless the link ends in ?range=all, so a "whole channel" download can quietly stop at one week. Our own downloader had the same gap until 5 October 2026. Now the period always travels with the link, and the list says which period you are looking at. For transparency, the command that matches our All time list is yt-dlp "https://www.twitch.tv/name/clips?filter=clips&range=all".
One more thing the period lists change: "newest first" is not something Twitch offers. Every list comes back most viewed first. When you press Newest, we read the whole period, up to that limit of about 1,000, and sort it by the date each clip was made. That is why Newest takes longer than Most popular, and why Newest on All time shows the newest of the top 1,000, not the newest clip ever made.

If it does not work
- The list stops at about 1,000 clips
- That is Twitch's limit for one period, not ours. Pick 30 days, 7 days or 24 hours to reach newer clips with fewer views.
- Newest takes a long time
- Twitch only lists clips most viewed first, so we read the whole period before sorting it by date. For a busy channel that is about half a minute. Most popular appears at once.
- The list shows 0 clips
- Nobody made a clip in that period, or the channel has turned clipping off. Try All time. If that is empty too, check the name against the channel's address.
- "That is 400 videos at once; the limit is 200"
- The website takes up to 200 clips per download. Tick 100 or 200, start, then tick the next batch. The desktop app has no such limit.
- Some clips fail with "not found"
- The clip was deleted after the list was made, often by the streamer. The others carry on; press Try again on a failed row if you think it was a passing error.
- "That is not a Twitch channel name"
- You typed the display name, which can have spaces. Use the name from the channel's address instead: twitch.tv/summit1g is summit1g. It has only letters, numbers and underscores.

Questions people ask
How do I download all clips from a Twitch channel?
Type the channel's name above and press Show videos. Press Tick All, choose Video and a quality, and press Download selected. For a channel with more than about 1,000 clips, repeat with the 30-day and 7-day periods to reach newer clips.
Is there a limit to how many clips I can download?
Twitch lists about 1,000 clips per period. On the website you can start up to 200 clips per download, with up to 300 files waiting at a time, so a big list goes in batches.
Can I download clips from any Twitch channel?
Yes, from any channel whose clips are public. You do not need to follow the channel or log in. Clips of subscriber-only videos and deleted clips cannot be fetched.
Can I download Twitch clips in 1080p?
Yes, when Twitch kept that size. Set the quality cap to 1080p or Best available. The newest clip we tested also had 1440p; an older one had a single 1080p file.
Why are the clips not in date order?
Twitch lists clips most viewed first in every period. Press Newest and we read the whole period and sort it by the date each clip was made.
Can I download my own clips from Twitch without a tool?
Yes, one at a time. Twitch's Clips Manager lets you download landscape or portrait versions of clips of your channel and clips you made. Its help page offers mass delete, but describes no way to download them all at once.
Does the streamer know I downloaded their clips?
Twitch does not tell streamers about downloads made outside Twitch. The clips are still their work, so ask before you reuse or repost them.
Is it legal to download Twitch clips?
Keeping public clips for yourself is common, but the streamer and Twitch keep their rights. Ask before you publish someone else's clips. This is general information, not legal advice.
