On a computer, open the video and copy the address bar; it starts bilibili.com/video/BV. In the app, Share gives a b23.tv short link: open it in your browser first, then copy the full address.

1080p is the largest size a signed-out visitor gets. For a video in parts, tick the parts you want, pick one size for all of them and press Download.

It goes to your browser's downloads folder. On an iPhone it lands in the Files app under Downloads: open it, press Share, then Save Video to put it in Photos.

Signed out, Bilibili gives 1080p, not 480p, and never more
Most guides say a downloader without a Bilibili login is stuck at 480p. The guide from 4K Download, dated April 2026, puts it this way: tools that do not log in "only receive the public-facing 480p or 360p stream". That is half true. On 8 October 2026 we asked Bilibili for 28 of its most popular videos, signed out, in two ways. Asked plainly, it sent 360p and 480p only, for all 28. Asked with the "try_look" setting, it sent 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p, again for all 28.
try_look is what yt-dlp, the free engine behind this page, sends when nobody is signed in, so our buttons go up to 1080p with no account at all. A downloader that asks plainly stops at 480p, and that is where the belief comes from. The files confirm it: videos saved through our own download engine came back at 1920 × 1080, or 1080 × 1920 for tall videos, with sound and at full length.
The opposite promise is wrong too. Some online downloaders offer 2K or 4K "when available". 27 of our 28 videos had a quality above plain 1080p on Bilibili: 4K on 6 of them, 1080P60 on 12 and 1080P+, a sharper 1080p, on 15. A signed-out visitor got none of them, and yt-dlp's own notice says those qualities need a premium (大会员) membership. We never sign in to anyone's account, so 1080p at 25 or 30 frames a second is the honest top here. If a site promises you 4K from Bilibili without your login, check the size of the file it gives you.

If it does not work
- "We do not support that site yet" for a b23.tv link
- b23.tv is Bilibili's short link from the app's Share button, and we cannot open it yet. Open it in your browser, wait for the video page, and copy the full bilibili.com/video/ address from the address bar.
- The download stops partway with "The site sent back something we did not expect"
- Bilibili's file server cut the transfer. Press Try again. If it fails the same way, pick the next size down: on one video we tested, the 1080p file broke off every time while the 720p file came complete.
- "We could not recognise that link as a video"
- Some BV links lead on to a Bangumi episode or a film: 2 of the 30 popular videos we checked did. Those are licensed shows, which we do not download. A link that opens a Bangumi or paid-course page directly gets a message saying so.
- There is no 4K or 60 fps button
- Bilibili does not send those qualities to a visitor who is not signed in, and yt-dlp's notice says they need a premium (大会员) membership. We never sign in, so 1080p is the largest size we can get.
- I only wanted one part, but got a list
- Tick just that part and press Download. Or open the part on Bilibili, copy its link, which ends in ?p= and a number, and paste that instead.
- There is no subtitles button
- Bilibili gives subtitles only to signed-in users. Of the 28 videos we read, 14 had subtitles for signed-in users, and a signed-out visitor got none.
