In short
This LinkedIn PDF downloader saves the document behind a public carousel or document post: copy the post's link, paste it above, press Download and choose The whole document. You get LinkedIn's PDF with every page in order, without signing in. Posts made only of photos, or shared only with connections or a group, cannot be saved.

How to download from LinkedIn document posts
- 1
Copy the post link
On a computer, click the three dots at the top right of the post, then Copy link to post. In the LinkedIn app, tap Share, then Copy link. Copy the post itself, not the author's profile.
- 2
Paste it and press Download
We read the public post, check it for a video, then find its document. Finding the document took 2 to 9 seconds on our 12 test posts. A post with a video shows video choices instead, as on our LinkedIn video downloader.
- 3
Choose The whole document
Under The whole document, press Whole document (PDF). We fetch the file from LinkedIn and check that it really is a PDF, so a sign-in page can never be saved in its place.
- 4
Open the PDF
It goes to your browser's downloads folder. On an iPhone, open Files, then Downloads. On Android, look in the Download folder. Any PDF reader opens it, and so does your browser.
Good to know
The PDF holds more than the page pictures LinkedIn shows you
Three free tools now in the results for this search (BillionVerify, MyFeedIn and depost.ai) promise "the original PDF, not screenshots". None of them says what that difference is worth, so we measured it on 14 October 2026, through our own engine, on 12 public document posts. LinkedIn's viewer shows each page as a picture. In the 6 documents whose picture list we read, the largest picture was 1,363 to 1,550 pixels wide and about 1,930 tall. That is the most a screenshot, a right-click Save image, or a slides-as-pictures tool can give you.
The PDF in the same posts held more. 10 of the 12 had real text, which stays sharp at any zoom and can be searched and copied, and 4 kept their clickable links (one Python guide had 49). The two Canva decks with no text still carried page pictures of 5,000 by 6,250 and 6,250 by 8,088 pixels, more than three times wider than LinkedIn's largest page picture. So "selectable text" is true most of the time, not always, but the whole PDF beats screenshots either way.
Two limits apply to every tool, ours included. First, a Word or PowerPoint upload comes back as LinkedIn's PDF version, because that is what LinkedIn keeps. Second, LinkedIn's own download needs an account: its help page says "members who can view your post will be able to download your document as a PDF", and its viewer shows "Sign in to download" to everyone else. We never sign in, so this page saves only documents LinkedIn shows to a visitor who is not logged in.

What people use it for
Keep a guide or cheat sheet
Save a SQL sheet, a checklist or a slide guide before it sinks in the feed. A PDF opens offline on a phone, a tablet or an e-reader, and the text stays searchable on most documents.
Get back your own carousel
Lost the Canva or PowerPoint file behind a carousel you posted? Paste your post's link to get the PDF LinkedIn kept. For a Word or PowerPoint upload, that is LinkedIn's PDF version, not your editable file.
Quote it correctly
Copy a sentence or a figure from the PDF instead of retyping it from a screenshot. Then credit the author and link to the post.
Save while you scroll
Our browser extension puts a Download button on LinkedIn documents in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox, with Whole document (PDF) and This page only. The guide is at https://raptordownloader.com/docs/extension/.
Key facts
| Links that work | Public LinkedIn posts that show a document or a PDF carousel: linkedin.com/posts/... and linkedin.com/feed/update/... links (both forms of one post read the same document on 14 October 2026). lnkd.in short links are followed to the post first |
|---|---|
| You get | One PDF with every page, in the order LinkedIn shows them. Of 17 public posts we tried on 14 October 2026, 12 held a document, and all 12 PDFs had every page LinkedIn listed: 2 to 37 |
| Text and links | 10 of the 12 PDFs had text you can select, search and copy, and 4 kept their clickable links. The other 2, made in Canva, were a picture of each page, 5,000 to 6,250 pixels wide |
| Word and PowerPoint uploads | LinkedIn accepts PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC and DOCX files. Whatever the author uploaded, you get the PDF version LinkedIn keeps, never the .docx or .pptx file |
| File size and speed | From 0.12 MB for a 2-page sheet to 43 MB for a 12-page Canva deck. On our test computer, finding the document took 2 to 9 seconds and fetching the PDF 0.1 to 23 seconds. The website first checks the post for a video, which adds a little |
| One page as a picture | The website saves the whole document only. Our browser extension adds This page only, which saves the page you point at as a picture |
| LinkedIn's own button | LinkedIn lets members who can see a post download its document as a PDF. For visitors who are not signed in, LinkedIn's document viewer labels the download "Sign in to download" (on all 12 posts we read) |
| Not possible | Posts made only of photos (not a document), text posts, posts shared with connections only, group posts and LinkedIn Learning. We never sign in to LinkedIn |
| Limits | LinkedIn caps a document at 100 MB and 300 pages. Ours: about 1 GB per file, 15 link reads a minute, and each download button works for 30 minutes |
| Price | Free. No LinkedIn account, no app, and nothing is added to the file |
If it does not work
- "LinkedIn did not provide a downloadable video or document for this post"
- The post has no public document. It may be made only of photos, be text only, or be shown only to signed-in members. Open the link in a private browser window: if no document appears there without signing in, it cannot be saved here. 5 of our 17 test posts gave this.
- The document was shared in a group
- Group posts are visible only to members. Open the original post (not a reshare), choose Copy link to post and try that link. If it exists only inside the group, ask the author for a public link.
- "That LinkedIn link is not a single post. Open the post itself and copy its link."
- You copied a profile, a company page or the feed. Use Copy link to post from the post's own menu. To save a profile as a PDF, use Save to PDF on the profile in LinkedIn itself; that is a different feature.
- The text in the PDF cannot be selected
- The author's file was a picture of each page, as 2 of our 12 Canva decks were. Nothing is missing: the pictures are large and stay sharp when you zoom. To copy words, use your PDF reader's text recognition (OCR), if it has one.
- "This download button has expired. Paste the video link again."
- Download buttons work for 30 minutes. Paste the post link again and press Whole document (PDF) straight away.
- On an iPhone the PDF is not in Photos
- A PDF is not a photo, so it goes to the Files app, under Downloads. Open it there, or tap Share to send it to Books or another app.
Ways to save a LinkedIn document or carousel, compared
| Method | What you get | LinkedIn sign-in | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| This page | LinkedIn's whole PDF, every page; text and links when the author's file had them | No | Document posts only: no photo-only posts, no connections-only or group posts |
| LinkedIn's own download (open full screen, then the download arrow) | The same PDF, from LinkedIn | Yes. Visitors see "Sign in to download" | Needs an account. A reader under one how-to post said the arrow never appeared for them |
| BillionVerify, MyFeedIn, depost.ai | The PDF plus each page as a picture; photo carousels too | No | Free tools that promote other products. No measured numbers; BillionVerify mentions a daily limit without saying what it is |
| LinkedIn OneClick PDF Saver (Chrome extension) | A Save as PDF button on posts with slides | Not stated on its listing | 938 users, last updated November 2025. The listing does not say whether it saves LinkedIn's PDF or rebuilds one from pictures |
| Screenshots or right-click Save image | One page picture at a time, at most about 1,550 by 1,940 pixels | Not for public posts | No text, no links, and one file per page |
Questions people ask
How to download PDF from LinkedIn post?
Copy the post's link (three dots, then Copy link to post), paste it in the box above, press Download, then Whole document (PDF). You get the whole document as one file. Signed in to LinkedIn, you can also open the document full screen and use LinkedIn's own download arrow.
Can you download a LinkedIn carousel?
Yes, when the carousel is a document post, which is how LinkedIn carousels are usually made: the author uploads a PDF. Paste its link above. A post made of several photos is not a document, and the website cannot save it yet.
Do I need to log in to LinkedIn to use this tool?
No, and we never ask for your LinkedIn login. That is also why posts shown only to connections or inside a group cannot be saved: they do not exist for a visitor who is not signed in.
Can I download the original PDF, not just images?
Yes, this page saves the PDF itself. For a PDF upload, it is the author's file as LinkedIn keeps it; in our test the files still named their maker, such as Canva or Adobe. For a Word or PowerPoint upload, it is LinkedIn's PDF version, not the editable file.
What's the difference between a carousel post and a document post?
On LinkedIn most carousels are document posts: a PDF that readers swipe through page by page. A post with several photos also swipes, but it holds separate pictures, not a document. This page saves document posts only.
How to download LinkedIn documents in one PDF?
Press Whole document (PDF). Every page comes in one file, in LinkedIn's order: all 12 documents we tested were complete, from 2 to 37 pages. There is no need to save pages one by one and join them.
Can I download a LinkedIn carousel on mobile?
Yes. In the LinkedIn app tap Share, then Copy link, open this page in Safari or Chrome, paste and press Whole document (PDF). On an iPhone the file goes to Files, under Downloads; on Android to the Download folder.
Is it legal to download LinkedIn carousels?
LinkedIn itself lets members who can see a post download its document, for accessibility. The author still owns the content, so reading and keeping it for yourself is one thing, and republishing it is another: ask first and credit them. This is general information, not legal advice.
Do you keep the PDF?
No. The file is prepared in a temporary folder and deleted within about an hour. We may collect anonymous usage information, such as which sites and links are used, to improve the service. We never store your IP address and we never sell your data.
